STUDENT LIFE
Life in a different culture can be a daunting experience
for anyone and so staff at Totnes European School support
students in all aspects of their life in the UK.
We encourage students to socialise in the local community
and also with other international students.
From our experience students achieve more from their time
here in the UK if they are happy and motivated throughout
the programme.
- Approachable staff are always available
to discuss individual student’s needs
- Regular feedback from students,
host families and work providers is obtained
- Advice and guidance on all our programmes is readily available
- There is a 24 hour emergency contact number for students to use in the case of actual emergencies outside of school hours.
It is our aim to ensure students achieve their personal
objectives and have a positive experience.
Social Activities
Every Wednesday afternoon students are offered a social trip to one of the local attractions. Examples of these outings are:
-
A scenic bus and boat trip to Dartmouth
-
A visit to our local environmental Zoo
-
A tour of an historic Abbey
-
Bowling
-
Pottery painting and decorating
Each trip costs approximately £8, and a member of TES staff is always present to provide local information, accompany the students and stimulate English conversation.
